A CONSORTIUM OF CITIZENS, MAKERS, & DESIGNERS
Our Studio | design transpired as a way to connect citizens with local makers. We provide a platform for customers to design individualized custom furniture and have it manufactured in their own community. We continue to find new, more efficient, and environmentally friendly methods to manufacture furniture and products. In the process, we also collaborate with a network of designers, builders, and friends to cultivate community. From experience, you often know exactly what you want, but lack the knowledge of how to design it and then make it. Together, we make it possible - in Our Studio | design.

Previously, you may have been stuck shopping for furniture that was pre-manufactured and available. Or, you tried to navigate the expensive world of custom furniture, never knowing exactly what you were going to get. Our Studio | design changes all this. We provide an opportunity for constant communication, a space where we design, you critique, and we design again until you are satisfied and your idea has come to fruition. We additionally provide photorealistic images of your new product in your space - so that you can make final adjustments before it is built. The best part is, you get to do this all from the comfort of your home, as we bring our virtual studio to you. Not only does this provide convenience, but also creates a safe and socially distant design method in these unprecedented times.

3D manufacturing techniques are becoming more common and advanced, but there is still a large separation between citizens and manufacturers. It is easy to find a 3D printer, but can you design something for it to print? Can you speak the same language? Our Studio | design helps bridge the gap as we execute all aspects of a complex design process, communicating with your local community makers, and fabricating your new custom furniture or product.

Often some of the most talented builders, makers, and craftspeople are working in your area without your knowledge. Our Studio | design locates them to create a partnership - and together we fabricate your new piece. We never outsource the work to international factories, and believe in the power of sourcing things locally This not only streamlines the manufacturing operations, but it also reduces our overall carbon footprint, while simultaneously supporting your local community and economy.

Will is the creator and chief designer of Our Studio | design. He has a degree in Fine Art from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a degree in Industrial Design, from The Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). As someone who thoroughly enjoys the process of designing and making - he is excited to share his expertise, and bring the design experience directly to you. He welcomes you not as a new client, but rather as a key contributor and designer to Our Studio.
