MEASURE
PHASE ONE: Is there a piece of furniture in your home you would like to replace with a better design? OUR STUDIO | design gives you the reigns to design exactly what you want and how you want it - bypassing the hurdles and high cost of standard custom designs. All you need to do is simply get out your tape measure (or phone) and measure your existing furniture or space you want redesigned. Send us your inspiration images, hand sketches, or a simple description of what you would like to design.
DESIGN
PHASE TWO: From your measurements and inspirational image and ideas, we begin the process of sketching new concepts for your space. We email you new design sketches for you to review and critique. Once you narrow down the options of what you want, we schedule a virtual meeting to discuss final changes and adjustments. We then email a photo-realistic render of your new design with an additional image of how it will look and fit in your existing space.
DEVELOP
PHASE THREE: Once your design is finalized, we supply you with custom blueprints and detailed instructions to build your new piece of furniture. At this point you have the option to say goodbye and take your blueprint to a local builder or construct it yourself! Alternatively – we can make all the arrangements to have it built for you.
FABRICATE
PHASE FOUR: If you prefer, we can manage the manufacturing of your new design from start to finish, and have it delivered at your door. Through our extensive network of design friends and colleagues, we find the best local makers & quality resources in your area for your new design to be built. We believe in the value of local collaboration to eliminate the inefficiency, harm, and environmental impact of mass -produced furniture.
PRICE
Designs start for as little as $50, but every project we work on at OUR STUDIO | design is unique to the individual client. After receiving measurements and inspirations, we develop a preliminary design budget to fit your personal needs and budget (there is no fee or financial commitment to send measurements, inspirations, and the creation of the design budget). The preliminary design budget includes the exact price for sketches & critiques, CAD model, renders, and blueprints. If you want us to oversee the fabrication of your new design, we will develop a final fabrication budget. The fabrication budget includes a % of the preliminary design budget, and 10% of the final manufacturing cost, in addition to the makers price.
